Juan Mesa of Photography by Mesa has been serving Southwest Florida since 1981. He learned the profession from his father, thus making him a second-generation photographer, as well as from seminars and affiliate schools. He continues his education through seminars and membership in the professional photographer guilds to stay current on the latest techniques that help in the creativity of exceptional images. He guides his clients through elegant and formal poses, which he specializes in, to create formal traditional portraits.

Competition is also very important. His prints have won numerous awards at both the local and state level. He was awarded Photographer of the Year in 1996 by the Professional Photographers of Southwest Florida.
